Hi, I’m Angela! I’ve lived in the Yosemite area for the past 10 years, and I still find myself in awe of the beauty I get to call home every single day.
The idea for High on Hammocks came to me one evening at a high-country lake in Yosemite—while I was, of course, in a hammock. My partner asked me what my true passion was, and after a long pause, I finally answered: backpacking… and hammocking.
There’s something deeply grounding about life spent in a hammock. It invites you to slow down, take in the world around you, and be fully present. In a time when life feels increasingly fast and demanding, the simple act of just being outdoors has become more important than ever.
Through High on Hammocks, I hope to share my love of the outdoors with you and create space for you to slow down in one of the most beautiful places in the world.
